Your server age — what Kingshot calls your state age — determines almost everything that isn't under your direct control. Hero generations, the War Academy, Truegold milestones, pet unlocks — none of that follows your Town Center level or how much you've spent. It's all tied to how old your kingdom is.
This page is the definitive reference for planning around upcoming unlocks. Use the timeline below to line up gems, resources, pet food, and alliance prep before each major server-age milestone arrives.

Kingshot Server Age, at a Glance
Your Kingshot server age is the number of days since your kingdom launched. Almost every unlock is gated by it, not by your Town Center level. Here are the server-age milestones players plan around most:
- Day 2 — Hunting Trap (first Bear hunts)
- Day 50 — Gen 2 heroes
- Day 59–69 — Age of Truegold begins (requires Town Center 30)
- Day 113 — Gen 3 heroes, Gen 3 Pets, and first Masters (Valora, Pan, Roman)
- Day 155 — Truegold Lv. 5, Truegold Crucible, and Cassia
- Day 197 — Gen 4 heroes, pets, Wilson, and Guinevere
- Day 225 — War Academy (the biggest resource gate)
- Day 281 — Gen 5 heroes, pets, Isnor, and Aena
- Day 323 — Tempered Truegold (Lv. 8)
- Day 365 — Gen 6 heroes
- Day 449 — Gen 7 heroes + Ironclad War Bear
- Day 491 — Truegold Lv. 10

Kingshot Hero Generation Release Schedule
Hero generations are server-age milestones. Your personal Town Center level does not make later generations arrive early.
| Hero generation | Server age | Heroes |
|---|---|---|
| Gen 1 | Day 0 | Starting hero pool |
| Gen 2 | Day 50 | Hilde, Marlin, Zoe |
| Gen 3 | Day 113 | Eric, Petra, Jaeger |
| Gen 4 | Day 197 | Margot, Rosa, Alcar |
| Gen 5 | Day 281 | Long Fei, Thrud, Vivian |
| Gen 6 | Day 365 | Triton, Sophia, Yang |
| Gen 7 | Day 449 | Ava, Charles, Wee & Woo |
| Gen 8 | Day 533 | Diego, Liz, Luna |
Kingshot Master Release Schedule
Masters start with the Gen 3 server-age milestone, then unlock in batches after that. If your kingdom sees Isnor and Aena on a known calendar date, you can work backward from Day 281 to estimate the earlier Master batches for that same kingdom.
| Master batch | Server age | Gap |
|---|---|---|
| Valora, Pan, Roman | Day 113 | Gen 3 launch |
| Cassia | Day 155 | 42 days after the first Masters |
| Wilson, Guinevere | Day 197 | 42 days after Cassia |
| Isnor, Aena | Day 281 | 84 days after Wilson and Guinevere |
Truegold, TG8, TG10, and War Academy Unlock Days
Truegold has both a server-age gate and a Town Center requirement. Age of Truegold starts between Day 59 and Day 69, but you still need Town Center Lv. 30 to start building Truegold upgrades. The War Academy unlocks on Day 225, also requiring Town Center Lv. 30. TG8 unlocks on Day 323 with Tempered Truegold, and TG10 unlocks on Day 491.
Why the Timeline Matters for Planning
The moments that catch players most off-guard are Hero Generation drops, Master batches, the War Academy unlock, and Truegold level jumps.
Hero generation and Master windows are the most important ones to plan around. Gen 4 drops exactly on Day 197, Gen 5 on Day 281, Gen 7 on Day 449, and Gen 8 starts on Day 533 — no guessing required. Masters follow their own batch cadence from Gen 3: Valora, Pan, and Roman on Day 113, Cassia on Day 155, Wilson and Guinevere on Day 197, then Isnor and Aena on Day 281. Start stockpiling at least 30 days before each major hero, pet, or Master window if you plan to build immediately.
The War Academy at Day 225 is equally important. It unlocks Truegold troop research (Infantry, Cavalry, Archers) through a research path that requires Truegold Dust. You also need Town Center Level 30 already built before you can construct it. This is the single most resource-intensive unlock in the game — plan for it months in advance.
Pets and Masters compound over time. The Gen 3 Pets at Day 113 (Lion and Grizzly Bear) are the first that generate meaningful passive materials — Forgehammers, Truegold, and Charm materials on each use. The first Master batch also starts here, which means Journey Supplies and Master planning become part of your normal account routine. Once Day 113 hits, redirect pet food into the new pets and start using Master resources deliberately instead of spending them randomly.
How to Calculate Your Server Age
There's no in-game display for your state age, but two methods get you close.
Method 1: VIP Login Days
Open your VIP tab and check your consecutive login count. If you joined on the server's launch day and have not missed a single login since, that number equals your server's exact age in days.
It breaks down if you've had any login gaps. If you took a week off at any point, your login count will be lower than the actual server age.
Method 2: Monument — "Beast Hunting" Achievement
This method works regardless of login gaps, and works on any account.
- Go to your Monument — it's in the center of the Outer City, accessible via the Events page
- Find the mission called "Beast Hunting"
- Check its completion date
- Subtract 2 days
That gives you the server's creation date. The Beast Hunting mission (which unlocks the Hunting Trap and Lv. 1–2 Terrors) triggers at exactly Day 2 of a server's life.
Trying to figure out the age of a different kingdom? The King's Castle event is your reference point — the mission to unlock it starts between Day 48 and Day 52, so if you can see when their first Castle Battle occurred, that pins down their server age.
The Full Server Timeline
The timeline below is organized by server age so you can plan around the unlock windows that matter most.
For Monument-tied milestones (like fog lifting, Fortress, or King's Castle unlocks), the game defines a Start Day and a Duration. The feature officially unlocks when your server's alliance completes the required mission, OR automatically when the duration expires. The ranges in the table below show the earliest possible unlock (instant mission clear) and the latest automatic trigger.
Kingdom Opens
Your kingdom launches. Generation 1 Heroes are immediately available on the Wheel of Fortune and Hero Recruitment.
Hunting Trap Unlocks
The Hunting Trap activates, allowing your alliance to hunt Raging Bears. Lv. 1 and Lv. 2 Terrors also appear on the map.
Sanctuary Unlocks
Sanctuaries open on the world map. Your alliance can now contest and occupy them during Sanctuary Battle.
Plains Region Opens
Fog lifts from the Plains. All governors can now march into this first regional territory, unlocking resource nodes and outer-world PvP.
Lv. 4 Terrors Appear
Higher-tier Terrors spawn on the Plains map. These drop significantly better materials and are worth coordinating alliance rallies against.
Fortresses Unlock
Fortresses open up for alliances to contest during Fortress Battle. Holding a Fortress grants kingdom-wide buffs and weekly reward chests.
Fertile Land Opens
The Fertile Land region unlocks, expanding the world map with new resource nodes, Terrors, and territory to contest.
Alliance Resource Exchange
The Alliance Resource Exchange feature unlocks, allowing members to trade surplus resources through the alliance hub.
King's Castle — First Castle Battle
The King's Castle unlocks and your first Castle Battle begins. Whichever alliance controls the castle appoints the King, granting server-wide buffs.
Generation 2 Heroes
Gen 2 heroes — Hilde, Marlin, and Zoe — become available. Start pulling only if you have 150+ gems saved; otherwise wait for Gen 3.
Generation 1 Pets
The Beast Cage activates and Gen 1 pets — Gray Wolf, Lynx, and Bison — become catchable. These give solid early march and gathering bonuses.
Age of Truegold Begins
The most significant early-game unlock. Truegold (a new resource tier) is now researchable — but only if your Town Center is Lv. 30 or higher.
Generation 2 Pets
Cheetah and Moose become available in the Beast Cage. These offer improved combat and march-speed bonuses over the Gen 1 lineup.
Generation 3 Heroes + Pets + First Masters
Gen 3 heroes — Eric, Petra, and Jaeger — drop alongside Gen 3 pets (Lion, Grizzly Bear). The Master Academy also unlocks today with Valora, Pan, and Roman available first. Lion is the first pet to passively generate Truegold and Forgehammers. Redirect all pet food here immediately.
Truegold Level 5 + Cassia
The Truegold cap raises to Level 5, the Truegold Crucible unlocks, and Cassia becomes available in the Master Academy.
Generation 4 Heroes + Pets + Masters
Gen 4 heroes — Margot, Rosa, and Alcar — arrive alongside the Giant Rhino and Mighty Bison pets. Wilson and Guinevere also become available in the Master Academy. If you lead marches or rallies, the Mighty Bison is an immediate priority for its march capacity bonus.
War Academy Unlocks
The War Academy building becomes constructible — but only with Town Center Lv. 30 already built. This unlocks T11 troop research (Truegold Infantry, Cavalry, Archers) at the cost of Truegold Dust. Start stockpiling months in advance.
Generation 5 Heroes + Pets + Masters
Gen 5 heroes — Long Fei, Thrud, and Vivian — drop alongside the Great Moose and Alpha Black Panther pets. Isnor and Aena also become available in the Master Academy.
Truegold Level 8 + Tempered Truegold
Truegold cap raises to Level 8 and Tempered Truegold unlocks, adding a new troop upgrade layer on top of the War Academy research tree.
Generation 6 Heroes + Pets
Year one milestone. Gen 6 heroes — Triton, Sophia, and Yang — unlock alongside the Regal White Lion and Ironclad War Elephant pets.
Generation 7 Heroes + Pet
Gen 7 heroes — Ava, Charles, and Wee & Woo — unlock alongside the Ironclad War Bear pet. Access differs: Wee & Woo are the F2P Roulette path, while Ava and Charles are spender-focused targets.
Truegold Level 10
The final Truegold tier unlocks, completing the troop progression path. Infantry, Cavalry, and Archer skills receive their final enhancement.
Generation 8 Heroes
Gen 8 heroes — Diego, Liz, and Luna — unlock. Released Sept 14, 2026 on servers 1-115; every other kingdom gets them at its own Day 533. Diego is the F2P Roulette path.
Planning Windows: What to Focus On
Focus on base building, joining an active alliance, and establishing your gathering routine. The Hunting Trap unlocks at Day 2 — get your alliance set up to coordinate Raging Bear hunts immediately. The Gen 2 hero window at Day 50 is your first big resource decision. The King's Castle event around Day 48–52 is your first serious PvP exposure — make sure your garrison is prepared.
The Age of Truegold begins between Day 59–69 (requires Town Center Lv. 30). Gen 3 Pets arrive at Day 113 alongside Gen 3 Heroes and the first Masters — start hoarding pet food and Journey resources 2–3 weeks in advance. Cassia arrives on Day 155, then Wilson and Guinevere arrive on Day 197 with Gen 4 heroes and the Mighty Bison pet.
The War Academy at Day 225 is the game's biggest resource gate — you'll need both Town Center Lv. 30 and stockpiled Truegold Dust. Gen 5 at Day 281 brings the next power ceiling jump, and Isnor plus Aena become available in the Master Academy on the same day. Tempered Truegold (Truegold Lv. 8) unlocks at Day 323, then Gen 6 at Day 365, Gen 7 and Ironclad War Bear at Day 449, Truegold Lv. 10 at Day 491, and Gen 8 at Day 533.
