Best Kingshot Packs to Buy: Low & Mid Spender Guide

Best Kingshot packs for low and mid spenders: construction queue, monthly cards, weekly benefit cards, event passes, Truegold packs, gear packs, and what to skip.

Quick answer: If you are a low or mid spender, buy permanent queue unlocks first. After that, compare Ultra Value Monthly, Intel Monthly, one useful weekly card, and the better event passes like Buccaneer / Harbor Tome when they give extra Widgets or event currency. Skip random chests, resource packs, and big bundles that do not solve a specific problem.

Kingshot throws packs at you constantly, and most of them are not where a low spender should put money. If you only spend $5-$30 a month, you do not have room for random hero shards, soft resources, and "maybe this will help" bundles. You need packs that keep paying you back or push a system you are actually working on.

This guide is the practical buyer's list. The broader Kingshot Spending Guide covers spending limits and traps. This page answers the simpler question: if I am going to buy something, what should I buy first?

Buy These First

Construction Queue Pack

This is still the easiest recommendation in the game.

PackCostWhy it matters
Construction Queue Pack$2.99 USDPermanently unlocks the second construction queue

A second builder is better than buying speedups because it keeps working. Speedups disappear after one upgrade. The builder keeps moving your city every day you stay active.

F2P players can rent the second builder for 1,000 gems / 2 days during push windows. If you are willing to spend even a few dollars, buy the permanent pack before anything else.

Extra March Queue Pack

Put the extra march queue right behind the second builder if your shop offers it.

One extra march means another gathering march, another rally you can join, more Bear Hunt flexibility, and less awkward timing during events. It is not flashy, but it touches a lot of the game.

This is especially good if you:

  • gather while offline
  • join rallies often
  • care about Bear Hunt damage and rally uptime
  • play alliance events actively

Monthly Cards Worth Comparing

Ultra Value Monthly Card

If you log in every day, Ultra Value Monthly is probably the first monthly card to check. The first purchase is discounted to $4.99 USD; after that, expect it to be $9.99 USD.

What makes Ultra Value Monthly useful is the mix: gems for Hero Roulette, stamina for beasts and rallies, VIP benefits, and daily claims over the month. That is much better than a one-time pile of resources.

Buy it when:

  • you log in daily
  • the gems help you reach Hero Roulette 10-pulls
  • the stamina feeds events you already play
  • the VIP part saves gems you would have spent anyway

Skip it if you are inconsistent. A monthly card you forget to claim is not a deal. If you only spend $5-$10 and cannot claim every day, wait for a good event pass instead.

Intel Monthly Card

Intel Monthly is another solid low-spender option. On a tiny monthly spend, do not automatically buy both this and Ultra Value Monthly.

If you are only spending around $10 a month, compare the two live offers and pick the one that gives more of what you are short on. If you are already sitting on stamina but need gems, that changes the answer. If you are active every day and the Intel rewards line up with your routine, it is a clean buy.

Auto Help / Auto Hunt Monthly

Auto Help and Auto Hunt packs are not pure power packs, but they make daily play smoother.

Auto Help helps your own timers and your alliance. Auto Hunt / auto-rally style benefits are nice if you are doing beasts, rallies, and event tasks every day. Barely logging in? This is just convenience you are not using.

Weekly Cards: Pick One Lane

Weekly cards are where players start wasting money because every card looks "small." Five small mistakes are still a real monthly bill.

Buy one weekly card that matches the thing currently holding you back.

Your account stageWeekly card to check first
Early gameSpeedup or Hero Gear card
TC20-TC25Hero Gear or Governor Gear card
TC25-TC30Hero Gear, Charms, or a strong event pass
TC30+Truegold card
War Academy unlockedTG Dust / Truegold Myth Research style pack

If Hero Gear is what you are short on, buy the Hero Gear card. If Truegold is stopping your next building upgrade, buy Truegold.

For gear priorities, check the Hero Gear Guide, Governor Gear Guide, and Governor Charms Guide before buying materials blindly.

Event Passes Can Beat Normal Packs

Some of the best low-spender purchases are not normal weekly packs. They are cheap event passes that double or heavily improve your event rewards.

The event packs worth checking are the ones that give:

  • more event currency
  • a second reward track you will finish
  • extra Widgets
  • more access to Mithril, Truegold, Forgehammers, Charms, Gear, or pet materials
  • enough currency to buy a specific shop item you already wanted

Buccaneer Bounty / Harbor Tome

Buccaneer / Harbor Tome style passes are one of the better event buys when the rewards include Widgets or extra event currency.

Widgets get annoying fast once you are building a Legendary hero seriously. That is why I put a good Buccaneer-style pass above most normal resource packs. If the pass helps you get more keys, more event currency, or more Widget access, it is usually worth checking.

Buy it when the event shop has items you actually need. If the shop is weak for your account, or the pass only helps a hero you are not building, save the money.

Seasonal Event Multiplier Packs

The best seasonal packs are the ones that turn a small spend into a lot more event-shop currency.

Look for the cheap pack that doubles currency, unlocks a multiplier, or pushes you over a shop threshold. If that extra currency gets you Widgets, Mithril, Forgehammers, Truegold, or Charm materials, that can beat a normal weekly card.

The mistake is buying the first pack in every event just because it is cheap. Check the shop first. If the extra currency only buys resources, skip.

Honor Fund and Progress Funds

Honor Fund style packs are good if you are sure you will keep playing the account.

Buy one when:

  • you expect to reach the required Town Center milestones
  • the gem payout helps with Hero Roulette
  • you are okay waiting for the full reward path

Avoid it on a server that already looks toxic or unstable. Give a new kingdom a little time before you lock money into a long-term fund. A good pack does not fix a bad server.

If you are saving gems for a Roulette hero, progress funds can be a nice delayed payout. Just do not treat them like immediate power.

Truegold and TG Dust Packs

Do not buy Truegold packs early just because they show up in the shop. Once you are TC30+ and Truegold is actually holding up your building upgrades, they become much more useful. Before that, the money usually belongs somewhere else.

Truegold Weekly Card

Use the Server Timeline Tool if you need to see when your kingdom is approaching Truegold, then read the Truegold Guide before buying packs around it.

TG Dust / Truegold Myth Research Packs

TG Dust is for War Academy research. It is not the same as regular Truegold.

TG Dust packs make sense when War Academy is unlocked or close enough that the material has a clear job. If you cannot use Dust yet, that money is probably better spent on something that moves your account now.

Hero, VIP, and Daily Packs

VIP Special Packs

VIP Special Packs are good in one specific situation: you were already going to buy gems.

If you are buying gems anyway, check your unlocked VIP Special Packs before doing a plain recharge. The extras can make the same gem purchase better. Do not start spending just because a VIP pack is sitting there.

For the exact VIP pack breakdown, use the VIP Special Packs Guide. For VIP activation and VIP level strategy, use the VIP Guide.

Hero Rally and Hero Funds

Hero Rally, Hero Ascension Fund, Eternal Legend, and Exclusive Gear Fund packs are where low spenders need to be careful.

Buy these only when the hero is part of your real plan. Not "maybe I will use them someday." Not "the event is ending." A real plan means the hero fits your march, you have the shards or gems to keep building them, and the pack reaches a useful star, skill, or widget breakpoint.

Daily Deals

Daily Deals are mostly early-game or target-specific. They can help when you are trying to build a particular early hero or finish a short-term push, but do not make them a habit.

Best Packs for Low Spenders

Use this if you spend around $5-$30 a month. Prices and pack names can vary by region and shop rotation, but this is the order I would check first.

PackTypical priceWhy it is here
Construction Queue Pack$2.99 USDPermanent second builder. This is still the first real-money purchase I would make.
March Queue Pack$3.99 USD, if offeredMore gathering, rallies, Bear Hunt flexibility, and event uptime.
Sign-in & Earn It$0.99 USD, if offeredGood cheap starter pack if you will claim the rewards. Ignore the huge percent label and check the items.
Intel Monthly Card$4.99 USDGood if you play daily and the rewards match what you are short on.
Ultra Value Monthly Card$4.99 first buy, then $9.99 USDGems, stamina, VIP benefits, and daily claims. Strong if you log in every day.
Weekly Benefits Card$4.99 USDPick the version that fixes your current shortage, usually Hero Gear, Governor Gear, Charms, or speedups.
Harbor Tome / Buccaneer Bounty pass$4.99 USD, when availableOne of the better event buys when it doubles Corsair Keys, improves the reward track, or gets you Widgets.

With only $5 to spend, pick one thing. Do not split it across random tiny buys. Construction Queue Pack comes first if you have not bought it. After that, choose between Sign-in & Earn It, Intel Monthly, a weekly card, or a Harbor Tome-style pass based on what your account needs right now.

Best Packs for Mid Spenders

Use this if you spend around $50-$150 a month. Mid spenders should still buy the low-spender packs first, then add targeted growth or combat packs.

PackTypical priceWhen I would buy it
Honor Fund$19.99 USDGood if you are committed to the account and expect to claim the Town Center milestones.
Gear Weekly Pack$4.99 USDGood when Hero Gear or Governor Gear is your current wall.
Mystic Divination PacksVariesGood when the return helps with Truegold or another material you are actively using.
Hope Market$4.99 USD and upWorth checking when the shop has materials you need more than a normal weekly card.
VIP Special Packs$4.99 USD and upCheck these before buying plain gems. Amadeus can matter early, but do not chase VIP packs without a hero plan.
Exclusive Gear Enhancement Special$4.99 USDBuy only for heroes you are actually building long term.
Speedup Weekly Card$4.99 USDUseful when you are saving speedups for Strongest Governor, KvK prep, or a real Town Center push.
Fast Development Pack$4.99 USDOnly when the contents move your current growth push. Skip it if it is mostly farmable resources.

Mid spenders still need a role. A rally joiner should not spend like a rally lead, and a growth-focused account should not dump money into every hero pack that appears.

  • Rally lead: heroes, Widgets, Hero Gear, Truegold, and combat systems
  • Rally joiner: troop quality, correct joiner heroes, Truegold, stamina, and event consistency
  • Garrison player: defensive Widgets, Charms, Gear, and defender heroes
  • Growth-focused player: builder, monthly cards, Truegold, speedup timing, and event shops

Packs to Skip

These are the packs to avoid unless you have a very specific reason.

Pack typeWhy to skip it
Soft resource packsBread, Wood, Stone, Iron, and Gold are farmable
Random chestsToo much of the reward is luck
Large one-off bundlesUsually worse than several focused small packs
Generic speedup packsBetter to use saved speedups during scoring events
Unfocused hero shard packsEasy way to spread money across heroes you replace
Cosmetic/status packsFine for fun, weak for progression
Daily Deals after early gameOften weaker than weekly cards and event passes

How to Compare Two Packs

When two packs both look tempting, use this order:

  1. Permanent unlock beats consumable items.
  2. A pack that fixes today's shortage beats a pack for "later."
  3. Fixed rewards beat random rewards.
  4. Event currency is good only if the event shop has something you need.
  5. Resources barely count unless they unlock a critical upgrade today.
  6. If the pack only helps a leaderboard position, skip unless that was already part of your plan before the event opened.

Ignore the shop's percent label if the contents are wrong for you. A pack can claim a huge value and still be mostly filler.
