Kingshot Master Academy: Best Unlock Order & Skills

How the Kingshot Master Academy works plus F2P, war, Arena, event, and KvK-strict unlock order for Valora, Pan, Roman, Cassia, Guinevere, Wilson, Aena, and Isnor.

The Kingshot Master Academy is a permanent account-growth system built around recruitable Kingshot Masters — Valora, Pan, Roman, Cassia, Guinevere, Wilson, Aena, and Isnor. This guide covers the whole system end to end: how Journeys, Affinity, and resources work, the unlock-vs-advance frame that drives every spending decision, who to unlock first by playstyle, and per-master skill priorities.

The mistake I see players making with Master Academy is treating every part of it like a KvK risk. That is too simple.

Unlocking Masters and advancing Masters are different decisions. Journey Supplies and Adventure Supplies are how you meet and unlock Masters. Those are the resources you should be spending. Emblems, Manuscripts, and Master Skill Speedups are the resources you slow down on if your kingdom is strict about KvK prep.

That distinction matters because several Masters start paying you back as soon as they unlock. Pan adds True Gold through gathering. Roman adds Arena reward chests. Cassia adds Squad size and rally capacity. Wilson improves alliance-event rewards. Aena and Isnor are more event-specific, but their passive value still starts before you spend Manuscripts.

If you already understand the mechanics and only need unlock order, jump straight to Who to Unlock First.

The Short Version

The seven things to know before reading further:

  1. Journey Supplies cap. 40 free per day on a fixed schedule. Capping is wasted progress.
  2. Realm Journey discovers Masters. Lostlands Journey lets you target known Masters with Adventure Supplies.
  3. Auto Journey unlocks at 50 Realm Journeys. Saves manual clicks on encounter-running.
  4. The Master Academy building unlocks after your first Master settles (Affinity 1,000). Valora is always first.
  5. All Masters share one skill queue. You can only research one skill across the entire roster at a time.
  6. Skill research is timer-first, resources after. Start the timer, wait, then spend Manuscripts to apply.
  7. Unlock first, advance later. Journey and Adventure Supplies don't score in KvK. Emblems, Manuscripts, and Speedups do.

Master Academy is not just a spend system. The early value is getting Masters unlocked so their passives start working while you keep the KvK-sensitive materials in your bag.

What Is the Master Academy?

The Master Academy is a permanent account-growth system built around recruitable Masters. You meet them during Journeys, raise their Affinity, unlock passive effects, and eventually invest resources into skills and research.

The mode itself is more involved than a normal menu upgrade. You move through Journey encounters, make choices, play small events, and slowly build enough Affinity for a Master to settle in your town. The rewards matter because they feed systems players already care about: True Gold, Forgehammers, Mythic Shards, Arena rewards, gathering, Bear Hunt, and long-term stats.

How to Unlock the Master Academy

Two conditions must be met before the Master Academy becomes available:

  • Town Center level 25 or higher
  • Your kingdom must have reached Generation 3 heroes

Generation 3 hero unlock is the real trigger — it typically happens somewhere between server day 101 and 114, depending on how your kingdom's progression lines up with the calendar. Most players at Town Center 25 will have no trouble meeting both conditions at the same time. Farm accounts are the main exception.

Once the system is available, the Master Academy building itself only unlocks after your first Master settles in your Town — which happens when that Master's Affinity reaches 1,000. The first Master to settle is always Valora, the Hunting Master.

That does not mean you should pour every rare resource into Valora immediately. For most F2P and low-spender accounts, the cleaner play is to let Journey Supplies carry Valora while you preserve Adventure Supplies for the next Master you actually want to settle — usually Pan first, then the event specialist your account will use.

How Journeys Work

When you first unlock the Master Academy, you start in Realm Journey mode. This is the main way you progress through the system early on.

The core loop is straightforward: you spend Journey Supplies to trigger Realm Journey encounters. Those encounters advance the story, give rewards, and eventually introduce new Masters.

Journey Supply Regeneration

Journey Supplies regenerate on a fixed daily schedule:

Time (UTC)Supplies Received
00:00 UTC+20
08:00 UTC+10
16:00 UTC+10
Total free per day40

You can also purchase up to 4 times per day at 1,000 gems each (5 supplies per purchase), for a maximum of 20 additional supplies — bringing the daily ceiling to 60 if you buy all four.

Don't let Journey Supplies overflow. They accumulate up to a cap, and anything beyond it is permanently lost. Log in across the day or at minimum once daily to keep them from going to waste.

Each Realm Journey includes Regular Encounters and Master Encounters. Regular Encounters may involve a dialogue choice, a decision, or a randomly assigned mini-game — the type is determined by the game and cannot be changed. Master Encounters are what advance your story toward unlocking a new Master. Different encounters grant different item rewards, so the more encounters you run, the more chances you get at better rewards.

When an encounter gives you a two-option choice, one side usually pays more than the other. See the Journey Choices reference for the better pick at every encounter.

After completing 50 Realm Journeys, Auto Journey unlocks. This lets the game run encounters automatically, but requires you to stay on the Journey screen.

The Unlock Path I Recommend

Valora is the first Master and you should be able to unlock her through normal Journey Supply use. Do not rush to spend Adventure Supplies on her unless you have a very specific reason.

Every Master after Valora needs to be discovered on the road before you can select them for targeted Lostlands runs. Depending on RNG, Pan may appear around 60 Journey encounters, while later Masters can take much longer. That delay is normal. Keep spending regular Journey Supplies until the next useful Master shows up.

Once your target is discovered, use Adventure Supplies only until that Master reaches the 1,000 Affinity unlock threshold. Then stop and work on the next one. Adventure Supplies are limited, and if you are F2P or low-spend, you want as many of them as possible going toward fresh unlocks instead of overfeeding a Master who is already settled.

Lostlands Journey

After completing 60 Realm Journey encounters, the Lostlands Journey unlocks. This works almost identically to Realm Journey but with two key differences:

  1. It uses Adventure Supplies instead of Journey Supplies
  2. You choose which Master you want to travel with — any Master you have encountered in a Realm Journey and gained Affinity with is considered a known Master and can be selected

Adventure Supplies have no cap. Unlike Journey Supplies, you can stockpile as many as you want. Save them for when you have a clear target — a Master you're trying to unlock or a skill threshold you want to reach. When Lostlands first unlocks, the game automatically grants you 10 Adventure Supplies to get started.

For low spenders, the goal is not to buy every pack that appears. The goal is to use free Journey Supplies first, then use the smallest amount of Adventure Supply help needed to unlock the Master you will actually benefit from now. For F2P players, waiting is fine. For low-to-mid spenders, a small Adventure Supply pack can make sense if it finishes an important unlock immediately, but do not turn this into a habit.

Items You'll Use

These are the Master Academy items that matter most early. The important part is not memorizing every name; it is knowing which ones are safe to spend and which ones are real progression bottlenecks.

Adventure Supply

Journey Fuel

Used for targeted Lostlands Journey runs. Save these for priority Master unlock progress once you have discovered the target through Realm Journeys.

Master's Manuscript

Skill Upgrade Currency

Spent inside the Master Academy to level up individual skills. Think of it like the upgrade material for your Master's ability tree — you'll never have enough of these.

General Master Emblem

Affinity & Tier Progression

Used to unlock Masters, increase their affinity tier, and gate major progression milestones. Required to push a Master past relationship thresholds and into higher power bands.

How These Three Resources Interact

The early system has two separate layers:

ResourceRoleBest Early Use
Journey SupplyTriggers Realm Journey encountersSpend daily; do not cap
Adventure SupplyTargets known Masters in LostlandsSave for priority Master unlocks
Master's ManuscriptUpgrades skills after research completesSave if KvK-strict; spend only for key skills
General Master EmblemAdvances Masters at Affinity thresholdsSave if KvK-strict; spend for planned advances

Journey Supplies are daily stamina. Adventure Supplies are targeting fuel. Spend Journey Supplies every day; use Adventure Supplies only when you know which Master you are trying to unlock.

The Four Resources

The Master Academy introduces four distinct resource types. Understanding what each one does — and when to spend it — is the most important thing you can learn about this system.

Gifts

Raises Mastery Level

Different rarity tiers all feed the same experience pool, just like hero gear experience. Use these freely — they are not part of KvK scoring. Holding onto them provides no benefit.

Master Emblems

Raises Affinity Level

Required every 10 Mastery levels to advance your Affinity tier and unlock the next 10 levels. General Master Emblems can be converted to master-specific ones, similar to how mythic hero shards convert. These are KvK-sensitive, so strict kingdoms should save them until prep.

Speed-Ups

Reduces Skill Research Time

Master Skill Speedups reduce the research timer before you can upgrade a skill. Since KvK point sources now include Master Academy materials, these are worth 30 points per minute. Treat them with the same approach as other event speed-ups if your kingdom tracks spend timing.

Master's Manuscripts

Advances Skill Level

Spent after a skill's research timer completes to actually upgrade the skill. 100 manuscripts equals roughly one Master Emblem in KvK scoring weight. Save these if you are strict, or spend them only on a planned high-return skill.

How the Upgrade System Works

Each Master has four distinct progression layers:

1. Mastery Level

Raised by spending Gifts. Every 10 levels, you hit an Affinity threshold that requires Emblems to break through and unlock the next 10 levels. Each advancement gives a small additional stat bonus on top of the passive boost from levelling.

2. Affinity Level

The relationship stage with your Master. Affinity has 100 levels across 11 stages, ranging from Stranger all the way to Kindred Soul. Each stage reached enhances the effect of that Master's Expertise skill.

You gain Affinity primarily through Journeys, but you can also increase it by sending specific items directly to your Master — Copper Horns, Silver Goblets, and Elite Spices all work for this purpose.

When a Master's Affinity reaches 1,000, they settle permanently in your Town and the Master Academy building unlocks.

3. Expertise Ability

Each Master has one central passive that activates automatically as soon as the Master is unlocked — no manual action required. It provides stat bonuses specific to that Master's scenario (such as Bear Hunt, Arena, or resource gathering). Its level increases automatically as the Master advances through Affinity stages.

4. The Four Skills

Each Master has individual specialty skills that unlock at progressively higher Affinity levels. Skill effects take place as soon as they are unlocked — you don't need to do anything extra to activate them.

The research timer comes first. Unlike normal Academy research where you spend resources and then wait, skill upgrades work in reverse — you start the research timer first, then spend Manuscripts when the timer finishes to actually apply the upgrade. Different learning durations grant different XP bonuses.

All Masters share a single skill queue. You can only learn one skill from one Master at a time across your entire roster. Plan your queue carefully — starting a lower-priority skill blocks everything else.

Each skill can be upgraded to multiple levels. When a skill's XP is maxed at level 10 increments, you must consume Master Manuscripts to unlock and learn the next stage. Note that if you cancel skill learning partway through, any Speed-Ups already used will not be returned.

5. Master Research

Once a Master reaches Affinity Level 100 and unlocks the Kindred Spirit stage, a dedicated Master Research screen becomes available. This is a separate research tree that uses Master Emblems to unlock and provides additional stat bonuses beyond the standard skill tree.

Unlock Now, Advance Later

This is where a lot of kingdoms get too conservative.

If your kingdom is strict about KvK prep, the right rule is not "ignore Master Academy." The right rule is unlock Masters with Journey and Adventure Supplies, then pause before spending KvK-scoring materials.

The passives start the moment a Master settles. Pan begins producing Reserve Chests immediately. Roman begins dropping Arena Star Chests after every match. Cassia begins providing Squad size and rally capacity bonuses. None of that requires Emblems or Manuscripts.

ResourceKvK Relevant?Action
GiftsNoUse freely — same as pet food
Master EmblemsYesSave if strict; spend only with a plan
ManuscriptsYesSave if strict; 100 = ~1 emblem in points
Master Skill SpeedupsYesSave if strict
Journey SuppliesNoSpend daily (capped at 100)
Adventure SuppliesNoUse for targeted Master unlocks

The emblem-to-manuscript ratio in scoring means 100 manuscripts is roughly equal to one Master Emblem for points purposes. Keep that in mind when deciding whether to upgrade a skill now or hold the resources.

For playstyle-specific advancement order and per-master skill priorities, keep reading — Who to Unlock First and the per-master breakdowns are just below.

Where to Get Resources Outside of Journeys

Alliance Championship Shop

If you're a low or non-spender who doesn't regularly buy from the Alliance Championship shop, you may be sitting on a decent stockpile of points. 15 General Master Emblems for 22,000 points is a reasonable use of those points — particularly if Emblems are your current bottleneck for an ability you want to unlock. Master's Manuscripts are also available but only worth buying if they're directly blocking a specific upgrade.

Master Academy Daily Gem Purchases

Inside the Master Academy, there's a small desk icon at the bottom of the screen. This gives you 4 daily purchases of 5 Journey Supplies each, at 1,000 gems per purchase. I like this more early than late: while you are still trying to discover your core Masters, extra Journey Supplies can speed up the part of the system that is otherwise time-gated. Once the important Masters are unlocked, those gems get harder to justify.

VIP Store (VIP Level 9+)

VIP 9 players can purchase Adventure Supplies from the VIP store — up to 10 purchases per week at 750 gems each. This is one of the cleanest F2P-friendly ways to finish a priority Master without buying packs, but it is weekly and slow. If you are not in a rush, that is fine.

Packs

Flash deal packs occasionally appear after you hit an Affinity milestone. I would only treat them as a shortcut to finish a specific unlock, not as a routine spend. If one small pack unlocks Roman today and starts the Arena chest passive immediately, that can be reasonable for a low spender. Buying every pack because the system is new is how this stops being efficient.

Who to Unlock First

You don't get to choose your first Master — Valora always settles first. Everything after that is your call, and the order matters more than most players realize, because Master Academy resources are slow to replace and the wrong skill at the wrong level traps Manuscripts you needed elsewhere.

Here is the priority order by playstyle, with no padding.

PlaystyleOrder
F2P / Low-SpenderValora → Pan → Wilson → Isnor or Roman → Cassia → Aena → Guinevere
War-Heavy / Rally LeadValora → Cassia → Wilson → Guinevere → Pan → Isnor → Aena → Roman
Arena-FocusedValora → Pan → Roman → Wilson → Isnor → Cassia → Aena → Guinevere
Event / Reward-FocusedValora → Pan → Wilson → Isnor → Aena → Roman → Guinevere → Cassia
Heavy Spender / CompetitiveValora → Wilson → Cassia → Isnor → Guinevere → Pan → Aena → Roman
KvK-StrictUnlock all current Masters. Pause on Emblems / Manuscripts / Speedups.

Position one is fixed. Position two is almost always Pan unless you are a rally lead or your alliance is pushing hard in the alliance-event side of the calendar. Wilson deserves a higher spot than the old six-Master version of this guide gave him because his kit pays through recurring alliance events without needing you to be the biggest fighter on the map.

F2P and Low-Spender Path

Valora is game-mandated, so don't burn Adventure Supplies on her. Pan is your second target because his reward loop starts compounding the moment he settles — no Manuscripts required.

After Pan, I prefer Wilson for most low spenders. Alliance Mobilization, Alliance Championship, Viking-style events, and Alliance Brawl come around again and again. You do not need to be a rally lead to benefit from better event rewards.

The fourth slot is where your account decides:

  • Pick Isnor if you play the mine-style event seriously and want more long-term Governor Charm material pressure relieved.
  • Pick Roman if Arena is part of your daily routine and you actually use the extra chest chances.
  • Pick Cassia earlier only if you fight often enough that broad march stats matter more than event income.

Aena is useful, but she is a caravan/truck specialist. For F2P, that usually means light investment after the broader Masters are online, not a main account project.

War-Heavy and Rally Lead Path

If you lead rallies, join rallies, and fight on the map regularly, Cassia jumps to position two. Valora still stays on top — her Weapon Obsession is the best permanent Forgehammer source in the game and irreplaceable for gear progression. After that, Cassia's kit affects every march you send.

Arena-Focused Path

If your account exists for Arena ranking, Tokens, and Shop value, Roman moves up.

OrderMasterFocus

3RomanWinner Take All and Crowd Favorite first
4WilsonEvent rewards still matter even on Arena-focused accounts
5IsnorUseful if you also care about Eternity's Reach and Charm materials
6CassiaUnlock, skip skill investment unless PvP matters

Roman's combat skills (Teacher of Champions, One Desire) only matter if you are losing Arena matches you want to win. If you are already winning, the reward skills compound faster.

KvK-Strict Modifier

Strict kingdoms aren't telling you to skip Masters — they're telling you not to dump KvK-scoring materials into them during prep. Apply this on top of any order above:

  • Unlock all current Masters. Journey and Adventure Supplies don't score.
  • Use Gifts freely. Same logic.
  • Pause on Emblems, Manuscripts, and Master Skill Speedups during strict windows.
  • Resume during relaxed periods or after leadership clears spend.

The passives start the moment a Master settles — Roman drops Arena Star Chests, Pan produces Reserve Chests, and Wilson's Trade Decree starts working without a single Manuscript spent. Get them online, then sit on the upgrade spend.

If leadership is strict about power specifically rather than materials generally, Wilson is the exception worth raising: none of his skills grant a combat stat, so leveling him moves no power at all.

Per-Master Skill Priority

Every exact number currently published on the Masters reference page — value at each level, XP cost, Manuscript cost, and power — feeds into the strategy layer below: which skills to touch first, and where to stop. For the newer Aena and Isnor comparison, use the dedicated Aena and Isnor guide.

Valora — Hunting Master

Valora settles first whether you want her to or not. Her kit is narrow, but two of her four skills directly add gear materials, which makes her the only Master where pushing Emblems early is justified.

PrioritySkillWhyF2P stop
TopWeapon ObsessionPermanent Forgehammers per Bear Hunt, ignores damage tierLevel 3
TopLeader By ExamplePermanent Enhancement XP Parts per Bear HuntLevel 3
SkipDance of the HuntBear Hunt rally cap — alliance-side benefit
SkipSavage AdvantagePersonal squad cap; small effective gain from square-root scaling

Why stop at L3? The Manuscript cost roughly doubles each level past L3 for the same +1 Forgehammer a cheaper level already gave you. L3 is the last level where the cost-to-benefit ratio stays sharp — hold there and keep Manuscripts free for Pan, who compounds every day he is unlocked. Push deeper only if your alliance runs Bear Hunt every event and Pan is already at his stop point.

Pan — Prosperity Master

Pan is the strongest daily-income Master. The value is in the unlock itself — gathering starts producing Reserve Chests with True Gold the moment he settles. Manuscripts only sharpen what is already working.

PrioritySkillWhyF2P stop
TopFalconerMore Intel → more True Gold and hero shards dailyLevel 3-4

Why L3-4 on Falconer? It is one of the few skills where a single level adds a big jump instead of +1. After that the cost per Intel Mission climbs sharply. Ways and Means scales cleanly with no cost cliff, so push it if Mystery Shop refreshes matter to you.

Roman — Arena Champion

Roman pays back Arena play, not general play. His Star Belligerent passive turns every Arena match into a Mythic Shards / Forgehammers / speedups lottery, and his skills compound that for active Arena players.

PrioritySkillWhyF2P stop
Top (Arena)Winner Take AllMore Daily and Weekly Arena Token rewardsLevel 3+

Why the reward skills first? Winner Take All and Crowd Favorite scale cleanly through L10 with no cost cliff. L3 is the floor that justifies the unlock; push higher for as long as Arena stays in your daily routine. If you don't queue Arena daily, Roman's chest passive does most of the work and his skill investment is hard to justify.

Cassia — Battle Master

Cassia is the rally and field-combat specialist, and the newest Gen 1 Master. Three of her four skills boost stats that apply to every march, which is what separates her from Roman. The catch: her skills cap at level 20 instead of 10, so reaching her ceiling costs far more Manuscripts than the older Masters.

PrioritySkillWhyF2P stop
Top (Rally lead)Inspiring Mobilization+Rally Squad Capacity at every levelLevel 4-5

MediumFirepower to Win+Squad Atk & Def, +10% at L20Level 5
MediumCommando+Squad Lethality & HP, +10% at L20Level 5

Why these stops? Recruiter In Chief at L3 is the cleanest passive on Cassia — free soldiers and bonus Medallions with no requirement to fight. Inspiring Mobilization at L4-5 matches the march sizes most F2P players actually field. Firepower to Win and Commando at L5 lock in the sweet spot before the cost-per-percent climbs sharply past L10. Push the percent-stat skills further only if you lead alliance rallies regularly.

Guinevere — Queen of Holy Sword

Guinevere is the first Master whose combat value is fenced to one place. Her Attack, Defense, Lethality, Health, and Rally Capacity all apply only inside Swordland Showdown and Swordland Summit League — outside those two events, three of her four skills do nothing. That makes her the sharpest Master in the game if you contest Swordland, and the easiest to skip if you don't.

PrioritySkillWhyF2P stop
Top (Swordland)Merciful HeartFree mass healing every battle — pure saved resourcesLevel 3-4
Top (Swordland)Royal Guidance+Lethality & HP on every Swordland squad, +30% at L20Level 5
High (Rally lead)Call of Round Table+Rally Capacity, +150,000 at L20Level 4-5
SituationalMax Efficiency+Relic Coins, up to +100% at L10Level 3+

Why Merciful Heart first? It is the only skill on any Master that hands back a resource you would otherwise pay for. At level 1 it heals 100,000 soldiers free in every Showdown and Summit League, and each level adds another 100,000 — no cap on how often it triggers. For an active Swordland player that outruns the healing speedups and resources any other skill saves.

Royal Guidance and Call of Round Table both run to level 20 like Cassia's, so their ceilings are expensive. L5 on Royal Guidance is the honest F2P stop; the +1.5% per level is smooth with no cliff, so keep pushing only while Swordland stays a priority event for your kingdom.

Wilson — Royal Herald

Wilson is the odd one out: none of his skills grant a single combat stat. Every level multiplies what alliance events pay you instead. That makes him the lowest-risk Master to level during a strict KvK window — nothing he does can be read as power-building — and the best long-run value on any account whose alliance actually runs its events.

PrioritySkillWhyF2P stop
TopMobilization Master+Alliance Mobilization points and extra Milestone tiersLevel 6
TopViking Bounty+Viking Vengeance points, plus a chest per 200,000Level 3-4
HighChampionship Publicity+Championship Badges and extra Shop itemsLevel 6
MediumDuel Sponsorship+Alliance Brawl points and extra daily reward tiersLevel 3+

Why level 6 twice? Mobilization Master and Championship Publicity both jump from +1 to +2 extra tiers/items at level 6 — a discrete unlock, not a percentage nudge. Levels 2-5 only creep the point multiplier upward, so stopping at 5 leaves the actual prize on the table. Push to 6, then reassess; the next jump to +3 doesn't land until level 10.

Viking Bounty is different: its chest count climbs one per level with no cliff at all, so it rewards whatever you can afford. L3-4 is a fine resting point.

Trade Decree, his Expertise passive, discounts the Alliance Shop and boosts Personal Activity Triumph Chests — it works the moment he settles, with no Manuscripts needed.

For Aena and Isnor, keep the Master Academy guide simple: Isnor before Aena for most players, because charm-material progress is easier to recommend broadly. Aena is still decent for older servers and serious Merchant Empire players, especially once truck loot improves. The full breakdown is in the Aena and Isnor guide.

Universal Rules

Three rules that apply regardless of which Master you are building:

  1. Never let Learning idle. The skill queue is shared across all Masters. If nothing is researching, you are losing free passive time.
  2. Spend Emblems on Affinity before Research. Affinity unlocks the passive multipliers; Research is post-100 content most players don't need yet.
  3. Buy Emblems before Manuscripts in the Alliance Championship shop. 22,000 points for 15 General Master Emblems is the better trade.

And before you spend the next Manuscript, ask three questions: is the next level past diminishing returns, is a strict KvK window coming in the next two weeks, and is there an unlocked-but-untouched skill that would give more? A new skill at level 1 usually beats an existing skill at level 4 — spread before you stack.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Master Academy in Kingshot?

The Master Academy is a permanent progression system where you meet Masters through Journeys, unlock their passive reward loops, and later invest in skills and research for long-term account growth.

When does the Master Academy unlock?

It unlocks when your kingdom reaches Generation 3 heroes — typically around server day 101 to 114. You also need Town Center level 25 to access the building.

Should I use Adventure Supplies on Valora?

Usually no. Valora is the first Master and you can normally unlock her through regular Journey Supplies. Save Adventure Supplies for your next priority unlock after you discover them, usually Pan first and then Wilson, Isnor, Roman, or Cassia depending on your account.

Should strict KvK kingdoms ignore Master Academy?

No. Strict kingdoms should separate unlocking from advancing. Unlocking Masters with Journey Supplies and Adventure Supplies can start passive reward loops without spending KvK-scoring materials. The part to delay is Emblems, Manuscripts, and Master Skill Speedups.

What should I save for KvK?

Save Master Emblems, Manuscripts, and Master Skill Speedups if your kingdom is strict. Gifts are safe to use immediately, and Journey Supplies should be spent before they cap. Adventure Supplies do not score, but should still be saved for targeted priority unlocks instead of spent randomly. Master Skill Speedups are now part of the current KvK point pool through the Master Academy system and are worth 30 points per minute. For the full save-and-spend breakdown by prep day, see the KvK Prep Guide.

Why is Pan worth unlocking early?

Pan can turn normal gathering into extra Resource Chests with a chance at True Gold. Since gathering is something you already do, his passive value starts compounding as soon as he is unlocked.

Why is Roman worth unlocking early?

Roman's Arena chest passive can add extra material chances from Arena battles, including rewards like Mythic Shards and Forgehammers. If you are strict about KvK, unlock Roman first and delay advancement spending.

How does skill upgrading work?

Unlike normal research, you start the skill's research timer first and wait for it to complete — then spend Manuscripts to apply the upgrade. The resources come after the timer, not before.

Should I buy from the Alliance Championship shop?

If you're sitting on unused points and Emblems are your current bottleneck, 22,000 points for 15 General Master Emblems is a reasonable spend. Only buy Manuscripts if they're directly blocking a specific upgrade you need right now.

Who is the first Master I'll unlock?

Valora, the Hunting Master is always the first Master to settle in your Town. This is guaranteed — regardless of which Master you encounter first in Realm Journeys, Valora will be your first permanent resident.

Which Master should I unlock first in Kingshot?

Valora settles first automatically. After that, Pan is almost always the best second unlock because his gathering Reserve Chests start compounding immediately. For most F2P and low spenders, Wilson is the next safest general-value target, then Isnor or Roman depending on whether you care more about Eternity's Reach / Governor Charm material progress or Arena. See Who to Unlock First for the full order by playstyle.

Should I prioritize Cassia over Roman as F2P?

Only if you actually fight enough for her stats to matter. Cassia is better for rally leads and active map fighters, while Roman is better for players who do Arena every day. Most low spenders should not rush either before Pan and Wilson.

Who is the 4th Master in Kingshot?

The 4th Master is Cassia, the Battle Master — the field-combat specialist that rounds out the roster alongside Valora (Bear Hunt), Pan (economy), and Roman (Arena). Her kit centers on Squad stats and Rally Capacity, which apply to every march.

How do I unlock Cassia in Kingshot?

Discover Cassia by running Realm Journey encounters until she appears as a known Master, then select her for targeted Lostlands Journey runs using Adventure Supplies until her Affinity reaches 1,000 and she settles. F2P players should discover her with free Journey Supplies first, then use the minimum Adventure Supplies needed to finish the unlock.

Who is the 5th Master in Kingshot?

The 5th Master is Guinevere, the Queen of Holy Sword — a Swordland specialist. Her Holy Sword Domain passive grants Squad Attack and Defense, and her skills add free mass healing, Lethality, Health, and Rally Capacity. All of it applies only inside Swordland Showdown and Swordland Summit League, so she is a top unlock if you contest Swordland and skippable if you don't.

Who is the 6th Master in Kingshot?

The 6th Master is Wilson, the Royal Herald — the alliance-event specialist. He grants no combat stats at all. Instead he boosts points and rewards in Alliance Mobilization, Alliance Championship, Viking Vengeance, and Alliance Brawl, and his Trade Decree passive discounts the Alliance Shop while increasing Personal Activity Triumph Chest rewards.

Who is the 7th Master in Kingshot?

The 7th Master is Aena. Treat her as a caravan specialist: useful for escorting, raiding, refreshes, recovered cargo, and Legendary caravan cadence. She gets better on older servers once truck loot improves. For investment advice, see the Aena and Isnor guide.

Who is the 8th Master in Kingshot?

The 8th Master is Isnor. He is the Eternity's Reach and charm-material specialist, so he usually has better long-term value than Aena for accounts that play Eternity's Reach and want more Governor Charm progress. For the full comparison, see the Aena and Isnor guide.

Is Wilson safe to level during a strict KvK window?

Yes. Wilson is the only Master whose skills grant no combat stats, so leveling him adds no power. The materials themselves — Emblems, Manuscripts, and Master Skill Speedups — still score in KvK, so the usual pause applies to the spend, not to Wilson specifically.

What is Affinity and how do I increase it?

Affinity is your relationship level with a Master. It has 100 levels across 11 stages, from Stranger to Kindred Soul. You gain Affinity through Journeys, and you can also send specific items — Copper Horns, Silver Goblets, and Elite Spices — directly to a Master to increase it. When Affinity reaches 1,000, that Master settles in your Town.
