Kingshot Gen 6 Heroes: Yang, Sophia, and Triton

Kingshot Gen 6 heroes ranked: which of Yang, Sophia, and Triton to build first, plus Bear Hunt verdicts and F2P priority.

Generation 6 unlocks at Day 365, bringing Yang, Sophia, and Triton with roughly 20% higher base stats than Gen 5. If Gen 7 is already live on your server, don't skip this — most accounts are still running a Gen 6 core for at least one role, and the build order below tells you exactly where to put your shards.

The short version: Sophia first for everyone — she's the only Gen 6 hero on Hero Roulette, so she's free. Yang second — the highest base Attack in Gen 6 and the only one with an offensive rally widget, worth heavy shard investment. Triton last, and only if you spend — he's locked behind Hall of Heroes and the Swordland Showdown Shop, and his kit underperforms in Bear Hunt specifically.

Build order: Sophia → Yang → Triton

This is one of the more settled debates in the Kingshot community, and it comes down to acquisition, not just power.

Sophia is free. She's the only Gen 6 hero on Hero Roulette, so every gem you put into spins is already working toward her — no separate decision required. Max her through Roulette before you touch general shards on anyone else.

Yang is the shard target. She carries 7,200 base Hero Attack, the highest in the game at Gen 6 launch (Sophia sits at 5,926, Triton at 4,546), and her Ambush skill is the only Gen 6 skill that raises Rally Squad Lethality directly. That combination — highest raw stat plus an offensive widget — is why players consistently report a real damage jump after switching their rally lead to Yang, even off an older, more developed hero. Getting Yang to 4–5★ with widget rolls is worth saving general shards for; it routinely takes several hundred to over a thousand shards, so plan for it across more than one event cycle.

Triton is the one to skip unless you spend. He's not available through standard F2P events — only Hall of Heroes and the Swordland Showdown Shop — which makes him the slowest and most expensive Gen 6 hero to build. He's also a weaker fit for Bear Hunt than his rarity suggests (more on that below). Unless you're actively spending and need a Gen 6 garrison anchor, leave him for last.

Yang

Yang's shards come through standard events, Daily Deals, the Strongest Governor Event, and Kingdom of Power — all paths a F2P account can actually grind, unlike Sophia's single Roulette lane or Triton's shop lock. Her Ambush skill gives all Squads a chance to deal increased damage every turn, and her widget pushes Rally Squad Lethality up directly. That's a clean, offensive kit with no conditional triggers to worry about.

Yang

Yang delivers a rip-roaring Frostkin in a straight line against enemies, dealing Attack × X area of effect damage plus the same amount on its return path

Yang's special firearm has a X chance of inflicting a combo shot, dealing another round of damage to enemies

Any bullet can inflict the critical blow to a hunter's prey when aimed just right. Yang enjoys a X Crit Rate when dealing damage

An avalanche for Yang is just another weapon in her arsenal, resulting in an additional strike against a target by all Squads every 4 turns for X damage

Years of arctic adversity have taught Yang to seize advantages. Yang's Archers have a 40% chance of dealing X extra damage with every attack

Yang is an advanced thinker who can easily grasp the principles of almost any phenomena, giving all Squads a X chance of dealing increased damage every turn

Yang's impressive muscle memory enables a five-shot barrage, dealing Attack × X damage to a random enemy. If the target is an Escort, there is a X chance of instantly knocking them down

Yang puts the maxim that the best defense is a good offense to good use, increasing Rally Squad's Lethality by X

RoleTierWhy
Rally (Attack)S+Highest base ATK in Gen 6 + only direct rally Lethality buff
GarrisonBBuilt for offense, not defense
Bear Hunt JoinerNot UsefulHer first Expedition skill is flat damage, not a buff — the Lethality widget sits on a later skill slot that joiners never get to use

That joiner line trips a lot of people up, because Yang genuinely is the best Gen 6 hero for Bear Hunt damage — just not as a joiner in someone else's rally. Lead your own rally with Yang and her full kit, widget included, applies. Join someone else's rally and only your first Expedition skill counts, which for Yang is plain damage with no Lethality boost. Same hero, two different jobs — build her to lead, not to join.

Sophia

Sophia's kit revolves around Confusion: Puppet Master deals AoE damage and confuses enemies, and her later skills scale her own damage off the debuffs she's stacked. It's a controlled, defensively-leaning kit — closer to a debuffer than a pure damage cavalry hero — which is why some players read her as a minor upgrade rather than a flagship pickup. She's still worth maxing for one reason that has nothing to do with her kit: she's free.

Sophia

Sophia's subtle rose-magic saps enemy soldiers' resolve, dealing Attack × X Area of Effect damage to enemies and confuses them for 1s. Confused enemies attacks all surrounding targets, friend and foe

Sophia attacks with her enchanted rose, dealing Attack × X damage to targets and applies Scalding Mark, increasing target's damage taken by X for 4s

Scalding Marks boost Sophia's Attack by X and allows her to Lash afflicted targets, dealing X increased damage

The arcane pact grants Sophia the protection of night, and a X chance of reducing all squad damage received by 50% every turn

Sophia radiates a fearsome aura that has a chance to inflict Terror on enemy targets. Enemy targets suffer the effects of Terror every 2 turns and will receive X increased Cavalry damage on the following turn. Terror lasts 1 turn

Terror increases fragility. All Squads deal X increased damage to Terrified targets

"Loyalty to our Queen is your one and only purpose." Sophia's attacks have a X chance of confusing the target for 1s. Confused enemies attack all surrounding targets, friend and foe

Sophia draws upon her avatar as Queen of the Night to enhance soldiers' Attack, increasing Defender Squad's Lethality by X

RoleTierWhy
Rally (Attack)SStrong AoE damage, debuff scaling
GarrisonAConfusion and damage-reduction chance suit defense
Bear Hunt JoinerNot UsefulHer first Expedition skill is purely defensive

Sophia does not replace Petra. This is the most common mix-up in Gen 6 threads — players assume the new cavalry Legendary takes over the rally-lead cavalry slot. It doesn't. Petra keeps that job through Gen 6 and into Gen 7, where Ava is the actual cavalry rally upgrade. Sophia's lane is garrison and Roulette value, not unseating Petra.

Triton

Triton hits hard in Conquest and Expedition and his damage skills are flat percentages rather than chance-based procs, which makes his output more predictable round to round than a hero like Long Fei. The problem is acquisition: Hall of Heroes and the Swordland Showdown Shop are both slower and more expensive than the standard-event and Roulette paths the other two heroes use, so he's realistically a spender pickup.

Triton

Triton surrounds himself with a barrier of waves that surges forward, gaining invulnerability for 2s before dealing Attack × X Area of Effect damage

Triton channels the rage of the ruler within, increasing Attack by X and Defense by X for 4s

Triton lashes the disobedient with shattering violence, dealing Attack × X damage to a random enemy with every normal attack

Acceptance of Triton's authority enables the fruits to be shared thereof, increasing total Squads' Defense by X

The power of warfare lies in shared fearlessness in the face of battle, increasing total Squads' skill damage dealt by X

Great power stems from a willingness to keep oaths, increasing Infantry Health by X as well as Cavalry and Archer Health by X

An artifice of ancient modification, the scepter grants Triton X increased damage

Triton's ancient whale-calls echo through the barricades, filling soldiers with unshakable resolve and increasing Defender Squad Defense by X

RoleTierWhy
Rally (Attack)ASolid DPS, but 4,546 base ATK trails both Yang and Sophia
GarrisonSBest Gen 6 infantry defender
Bear Hunt JoinerNot UsefulHis first Expedition skill is a pure Defense stat — wasted against the bear, and several of his kit-defining skills need a prior combat round to trigger, which never happens in a Bear Trap fight

If you're spending and need a Gen 6 garrison anchor, Triton fills that role well. If you're weighing him as a Bear Hunt or general rally pickup, your shards go further on Yang.

Is Gen 6 still worth it now that Gen 7 is out?

Yes, with a caveat. A maxed Gen 6 hero with widget rolls beats a 3★ Gen 7 hero every time — the ~20% base-stat bump a new generation brings gets eaten alive by missing stars and unrolled widgets. Don't bench a built Yang or Sophia just because Ava, Charles, or Wee & Woo exist on your server now.

What does change is the long-term plan. Once your account is ready for Gen 7, role-sort rather than replace one-to-one:

LaneYour Gen 6 heroThe Gen 7 optionWhat actually changes
Archer rallyYangWee & WooYang stays your archer rally lead — Wee & Woo's widget is defensive, so it isn't a clean rally-widget upgrade.
Cavalry rallySophiaAvaSophia was never your cavalry rally lead (Petra was). Ava is the actual cavalry upgrade once built; Sophia shifts to garrison or your second cavalry stack.
Infantry garrisonTritonCharlesCharles is the better garrison hero. Triton becomes your backup defender.

See the full Gen 7 heroes guide for the build order and joiner rules on that side of the transition.

Two shard mistakes to avoid

A hero typically holds your account for two to three generations, so general shards are easy to misjudge in either direction. Spend them on a hero who's about to get replaced, and you've wasted them. Sit on them too long waiting for "the next gen," and your roster falls behind in Bear Hunt and rallies in the meantime.

Use the build order above to split the difference: Sophia costs nothing extra, so build her now. Save general shards specifically for Yang. Only commit to Triton if you're already spending and the garrison role is open.

FAQ

Who are the Kingshot Gen 6 heroes? Yang (Archer), Sophia (Cavalry), and Triton (Infantry) — all Legendary. They unlock at Day 365.

Which Gen 6 hero should F2P players build first? Sophia, because she's the only Gen 6 hero on Hero Roulette and effectively free. Save general shards for Yang next; she's the strongest Gen 6 investment but requires shard hoarding to reach 4–5★.

Does Sophia replace Petra? No. Petra remains the cavalry rally lead through Gen 6. Sophia's strength is garrison and Confusion-based AoE damage, not unseating Petra — that doesn't happen until Gen 7's Ava.

Is Triton worth building as F2P? Generally no. He's locked behind Hall of Heroes and the Swordland Showdown Shop rather than standard F2P event paths, and his kit underperforms specifically in Bear Hunt. He's a reasonable spender pickup for garrison defense.

Is Yang good for Bear Hunt? As your own rally lead, yes — her offensive widget makes her one of the better Gen 6 damage options. As a joiner in someone else's rally, no — only her first Expedition skill applies there, and it's flat damage, not the Lethality buff that makes her strong as a lead.

Should I still build Gen 6 heroes if my server already has Gen 7? Yes, if you don't already have those roles filled. A maxed Gen 6 hero with full widget rolls outperforms an undeveloped Gen 7 hero. Treat Gen 7 as role-sorting your existing core, not a wholesale replacement.
