Kingshot August 2026 Update: Blizzard Brawl, Duel of the Elites & 28 Optimizations

Full Kingshot August 24 update breakdown: Blizzard Brawl, Duel of the Elites, alliance notice upgrades, position reservations, faster rallies, and all major optimizations.

Server restart: Kingshot will restart servers on August 24, 2026 (UTC). The notice only mentions a brief 2-3 minute disconnection, not a full maintenance window. If you get kicked, reconnect after a short wait.

Kingshot's August 2026 update adds two headline features: Duel of the Elites for Kingdom of Power and a new real-time combat event called Blizzard Brawl.

The rest of the patch is mostly quality-of-life work, but there are several changes alliance leaders should care about: better Alliance Notices, a dedicated R5/R4 chat channel, position reservation controls, faster rally timers, easier Secured Alliance Gathering feedback, and clearer battlefield mail.

New Content

Duel of the Elites New

Duel of the Elites is a new cross-kingdom group battle tied to the Preparation Phase of Kingdom of Power.

The top 150 Governors by Power from each Kingdom can participate. Their performance helps earn Preparation Point Boosts for the Kingdom, so this is not just another side leaderboard. If your kingdom is taking Kingdom of Power seriously, high-power players will need to pay attention to this one.

The official in-game rules should be checked once the update is live, especially for scoring, matchmaking, and whether participation timing changes by kingdom age.

Blizzard Brawl New Event

Blizzard Brawl is a new real-time battle event with both Same-Gen and Cross-Gen matchups.

The notice describes it as a dynamic battlefield where execution matters, which usually means this will reward active players more than passive power stacking. Before spending resources around it, I would wait to see the actual reward shop, entry limits, and whether matchmaking favors rally leads, strong solo accounts, or organized groups.

Biggest Player-Impact Changes

Alliance management gets much better

R5s get more direct control over whitelist management, Alliance Notices become more useful, and R5/R4 leaders get a dedicated management channel. That is a good patch for alliances that already run organized events, but it also means messy alliances will have fewer excuses for missing instructions.

The best changes here are pinned and starred notices, likes/dislikes on notices, and @mention notifications in Alliance and Group Chat.

Position reservations are becoming more controlled

Kings and High Kings can choose between the existing queue-style reservation system and a new By Time Slot mode. Time slots can be reserved within the next 24 hours, and leaders can enable automatic approval, set a minimum Town Center level, or block specific Governors from applying.

This should make Castle and kingdom position management less chaotic, especially in kingdoms that rotate buffs before major upgrade, research, or training pushes.

The new By Time Slot reservation mode takes effect after the first new King is crowned following the update.

Rallies should feel faster

The rally changes are practical. Terror Rallies can now use 3, 5, 10, or 15 minute timers. Rallies against Elite Rebels, Dreadwolves, and personal Cesares Order targets can use 3, 5, or 10 minute timers.

That will matter most during active alliance sessions where long rally timers slow everyone down. The March Speedup screen also shows the rally preparation countdown, which should make speedup decisions easier.

Late-game Truegold screens get clearer

Super Refine gets a higher batch limit and clearer cost visibility. The maximum batch count increases to 20, and the Super Refine interface now shows Truegold and Tempered Truegold consumption more clearly.

If you are already deep into Truegold, this is a useful information upgrade. It does not make Truegold cheaper by itself, but it should reduce mistakes when refining in larger batches.

Alliance, Chat, and Communication

Alliance optimizations

  • R5 members can add or remove alliance members from the whitelist directly from the Alliance Members screen.
  • Alliance Resource Exchange now supports manual input.
  • Alliance Notices now support starred notices and a Starred Notice tab.
  • Notices can be pinned so important information stays visible.
  • Alliances can enable likes and dislikes on notices for clearer feedback.
  • Failed gathering attempts at a Secured Alliance Gathering Node now trigger mail notifications.
  • Once the kingdom reaches the required progress, Claim All stays permanently visible on the Alliance Gift screen.

Chat optimizations

  • Chat now supports direct replies by quoting a specific message.
  • R5 and R4 members can publish notices from the Notice tab in Alliance Chat.
  • @mentions and unread notifications are added to Alliance and Group Chats.
  • A dedicated R5 & R4 management channel is added.
  • Private Chat search on the All page can search by Governor name or Group Chat name.

These are good changes for active alliances. The quoted reply and unread mention changes should help a lot during busy event windows when chat moves too quickly.

Position, Rally, and March Changes

Position optimizations

  • The King or High King can choose the new By Time Slot reservation mode or keep By Queue mode.
  • Governors can reserve positions for specific time slots within the next 24 hours when By Time Slot is active.
  • Leaders can enable automatic approval for reservation applications.
  • Leaders can set a minimum Town Center level for position applications.
  • The Position Reservation Task List now separates different positions across different time slots.
  • A Position Application Blocklist lets leaders prevent specific Governors from applying.

Rally optimizations

  • Rally march queues support a quick left-swipe recall action.
  • The March Speedup screen now displays the rally preparation countdown when joining a rally.
  • Terror Rally timers can be set to 3, 5, 10, or 15 minutes.
  • Elite Rebel, Dreadwolf, and personal Cesares Order rallies can be set to 3, 5, or 10 minutes.

March speed optimizations

  • Default march speed for Beast Hunting and Terror Rallies is increased.
  • The same Beast Hunting march speed improvement applies to Watchtower Intel Missions.
  • Scout Speed is significantly increased.

Faster scouting is easy to underrate, but it matters when kingdoms are tense and information needs to move quickly.

Event Optimizations

Kingdom of Power

  • Personal Point Rankings can be filtered by Kingdom, Alliance, or All.
  • Alliance Point Rankings can be filtered by Kingdom or All.
  • Assist Allies is improved: when an ally needs fewer than 5 Medical Satchels, or when you have fewer than 5, Assist All can still be used.

With Duel of the Elites also being added, this update is clearly trying to make Kingdom of Power easier to manage and more competitive.

Merchant Empire

  • An Enemy Caravan page is added.
  • Governors who previously raided you have their caravans marked as enemies.
  • Some text descriptions are clarified.

This is a nice retaliation tool. It should make Merchant Empire feel less random if you like tracking who hit your caravan.

Eternity's Reach

  • The Total Rankings leaderboard and ranking reward mail now include a Copper Ore acquisition comparison.
  • Reports and War Mail are consolidated into a unified view.
  • Several rule descriptions are clarified.

For more event context, see the Eternity's Reach Guide.

Swordland Showdown

  • March Speedups from the battlefield can be used directly when opening the March Speedup screen for your own squad from Alliance Wars.
  • Kingdom of Power, Castle Battle, and Sanctuary Battle broadcasts are automatically hidden after entering the battlefield.
  • Legion Tally mail now presents battle results more clearly, including Swordland Summit League results.
  • Event Reports, Alliance Mail, and War Mail are consolidated into one view.
  • Battlefield chat is created 30 minutes before the battlefield opens and includes participating members.
  • While on the battlefield, the War tab no longer shows Shields or Development bonuses.
  • During the Display Phase, a Battle Results entry appears on the main event screen.
  • The Enter Battlefield button is hidden for non-participating members, with clearer text prompts.

This is mostly cleanup, but the earlier battlefield chat is the useful part. If your alliance actually coordinates lanes, 30 minutes of prep chat is better than scrambling after entry opens.

Cesares Fury

  • Starting from the next Cesares Fury event after the update, total stages across all difficulty levels drop from 50 to 25.
  • Cesares Fury march queues gain an additional March Speed bonus when marching to or rallying Personal and Alliance Monsters.

Cutting the event from 50 stages to 25 should make it much less tedious. I would still check whether rewards are compressed fairly before judging the change.

Alliance Brawl

  • A popup shows the previous season's battle results.
  • Points on the Results screen become a button that opens a detailed point comparison.
  • Daily and season-end result mails are improved.

See the Alliance Brawl event guide if you need a full event refresher.

Viking Vengeance

  • Battle reports in the Alliance Log are consolidated under the Events tab.

Flamedragon Tyrant

  • The Alliance Crystal Skill Banner of Dragonroar now increases individual Deployment Capacity in addition to Rally Capacity for alliance members.

That makes the skill more broadly useful in alliance battles instead of only helping through rally size.

Sanctuary Battle

  • Fortress Registration and Registered Sanctuary screens get a UTC/local time switch.
  • Some text descriptions are clarified.

Tri-Alliance Clash notifications

  • Notification settings are added.
  • Combatants and Substitutes can receive reminders 5 minutes before the battlefield opens and again when it opens.

Governor, Gear, and Interface Changes

Town Center rewards

  • Reaching Town Center Lv. 7 now grants 10 Deployment Recall items.
  • Players who already reached TC7 before the update also receive 10 Deployment Recall items in the Backpack.

Governor interface

  • Once Town Center reaches Lv. 20, the Governor Profile displays Town Center level.
  • Squad Overview now shows the share of total soldiers represented by each soldier type.
  • The dismiss soldiers confirmation popup now shows the Power that will be lost.

Max star hero prompt

Hero Roulette and Daily Deals now show a confirmation popup before spinning or buying a pack when the selected hero has already reached max Star Rating.

This is one of the better small changes in the patch. It helps stop players from wasting resources or money on shards they no longer need.

Kingdom Transfer

  • Ordinary Invites sent by a Kingdom Transfer Manager now trigger a confirmation popup.
  • Leading Kingdoms get a floating notification when selecting an unavailable Transfer Power Cap.
  • Transfer Chat access changes to Governors with Town Center Lv. 20 or higher during the Kingdom Transfer event.

For broader transfer planning, use the Kingdom Migration Guide.

Injured healing

  • After manually setting the number of injured troops to heal, the Infirmary remembers that amount the next time it opens.

That is useful for batch healing. It reduces the repeated input work when you are healing in waves with alliance help.

Gathering interface

  • Secured Alliance Gathering Node screens now show Gathering Bonuses.
  • A shortcut to Town Bonuses is added.

Garrison interface

  • The Garrison screen now shows troop type ratio details for current garrison squads.

Super Refine

  • Maximum Super Refines per batch increases to 20.
  • The Super Refine x N popup shows Truegold and Tempered Truegold amounts in real time.
  • The Super Refine probability tab shows Truegold consumed at different refinement count ranges once the kingdom reaches the required progress.

Gear Imbuement

  • Gear that meets Imbuement requirements now shows an Imbue button when tapped from the Backpack.

Calendar and task list

  • Event detail popups now include a Rules entry.
  • Task List sorting is improved.

Swordland Shop

  • Once the kingdom reaches the required progress, Swordland Shop purchase limits increase significantly.
  • The change takes effect the next time the shop refreshes after the update.

Oasis Island

  • Once the Ritual Altar reaches max level, extra Ritual Altar decorations can be recycled in the Recycle Shop.

What To Do Before The August 24 Restart

There is no major conversion step listed, so preparation is mostly about avoiding timing problems.

  1. Avoid launching time-sensitive rallies, marches, or event actions right as the August 24 UTC restart happens.
  2. If you disconnect, wait a few minutes and reconnect.
  3. Alliance leaders should review pinned notices, starred notices, R5/R4 chat, and whitelist controls after the update.
  4. Kings and High Kings should inspect the new position reservation settings after the next King is crowned.
  5. High-power players should check Duel of the Elites rules before the next Kingdom of Power Preparation Phase.
  6. Anyone spending in Hero Roulette or Daily Deals should still double-check selected heroes, even with the new max-star warning popup.

The August update is not just a new-event patch. Blizzard Brawl and Duel of the Elites are the headlines, but the strongest day-to-day improvements are alliance communication, position scheduling, shorter rally timers, clearer battlefield mail, and fewer small interface traps.
