In Expedition mode, Sophia is the Generation 6 mythic cavalry hero and serves as the Roulette Wheel hero in Kingshot, making her the most accessible option for free-to-play players in her generation. In fact, she is positioned as the first free-to-play friendly defensive cavalry since Generation 1's Jabel. Her priority skill provides a 40% chance to reduce damage taken by 50%, a powerful defensive staple from past cavalry heroes, though it shares a skill code with Long Fei, which limits their synergy if used together. Her unique value comes from the interaction between "Terror - Deathblow" and "Terror - Annihilation"; the former applies a "terror" status and grants a massive 200% extra damage boost specifically to cavalry, while the latter adds a 75% damage bonus for all troop types against terrified targets. There are also some quirks with how these abilities are coded under-the-hood that I go into more in my video guide. Despite these high multipliers, Sophia is unsuitable for Bear Hunt because she possesses a defensive-activating widget (15% lethality) and a kit that requires longer battles to reach its average 37.5% damage increase.
