The main function of Saul is in Expedition mode, where he is strictly categorized by Kingshot as a growth hero, providing an essential permanent account-wide reduction of up to 15% construction time and cost that accelerates your accountÔÇÖs tempo. This is tied to the ability Resourceful, which is one of the best growth skills in the game for early players. This skill pays massive compounding dividends as it allows you to build your town quicker to unlock additional growth bonuses. This makes it a priority to build Saul to at least two or three stars early on to unlock higher levels of his ability. The value of this skill does slightly diminish in the later game where you are more likely to be bottlenecked by Truegold/Tempered Truegold (which is not reduced by his skill) than time to build. However, you will have plenty of time to reap the benefits before that happens, and even then, his skill is still useful. While he offers a solid 25% lethality bonus via Position Battler, its placement in the third skill slot means he cannot contribute it as a rally joiner to early game Bear Hunts.
